Biography
Dr Noah Charney is a professor of art history specializing in art crime, as well as a broadcaster and best-selling author of more than 30 books, including a Pulitzer finalist. He teaches for Yale and the Smithsonian, hosts award-winning programs for television, podcasts, and radio (including the BBC series "China's Stolen Treasures"), and gives talks at major museums, including the Met and the National Gallery (US and UK). He is an advisor to Art Recognition and co-authored their "Framework for the Responsible Use of AI in Art Authentication" as well as the popular new podcast, "Is It?" which has been featured in major media for discoveries announced on it regarding attributions of major artworks, including Caravaggio and Van Eyck. He is an American expat living in Slovenia, where he is also the country's official Ambassador of Tourism--believe it or not.
